Copyright Registration Flow for Computer Software

I. Application Procedure

Online application → Preliminary review of electronic documents → Submit paper documents → Payment → Review by Copyright Center→ Obtain registration certificate

II. Documents Required for Copyright Registration Certificate of Computer Software:

1. Fill one Copyright Registration Application for Computer Software.
2. One electronic version of the valid identity certificate of the applicant.
   • Submit a copy of the Business License for Enterprise Legal Person (Duplicate) in case of a corporate legal person;
   • Submit a copy of the valid Legal Person Certificate for Nonprofit Organization (Duplicate) in case of a nonprofit organization legal person;
   • Submit a copy of the valid Legal Person Certificate for Social Organization (Duplicate) in case of a social organization legal person;
   • Submit the copy of the certificate document issued by the industry & commerce administration authority or the civil affairs authority in case of other organizations;
   • Submit the copy of the valid identity card (right and wrong sides), if the copyright holder is a natural person;
3. One copy of software source codes.
   Requirements:
   1. If the source program contains a total of more than 3,000 lines, please submit the codes in 100 pages, including 50 continuous pages front and back. If the source program contains less than 3,000 lines, please submit all codes;
   2. The software name and company name involved in the source codes must be consistent with those in the application.
4. One design specification or operating manual.
   Requirements:
   1. The design specification must contain the software architecture topography, flow charts of various functions and logical block diagrams in detail, and describe overall software design, module names and functions, function names and utilities, algorithms, operation design and other contents. The operating manual must contain the logon interface and operation steps in detail, and the software name and company name involved in the source codes must be consistent with those in the application.

5. A personal applicant must fill the Warranty of Development Unrelated to Duty.
6. When submitting the software developed with GCC on the Linux platform, the applicant must submit: One GPL Presentation.doc.

III. Time and Expense of Evidence Provision

Note: Please call the Society for inquiry about change, transfer, inquiry, withdrawal, cancellation and certificate reissuance.
