The Sixth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award Ceremony Ended with Perfect Success

      The Sixth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award Ceremony took place at Artron Art Center on January 17, 2018. The event was cosponsored by Shenzhen Copyright Society, Shenzhen Press Group and Shenzhen Media Group and assisted by Artron Cultural Group. It set a total of 29 awards in six categories, including the “Works Award”, the “Application Award”, the “Protection Award”, the “Excellent Copyright Manager Award”, the “Annual Copyright Registration Leader Award” and the “Annual Award for Genuine Software Pilot Enterprise”.

Enameled Color Wine Set “Virtue Gathering Porcelain”

      The award-winning works include many national collectibles. In particular, the award-winning works Virtue Gathering Porcelain, exclusively developed and designed by Stechcol Ceramic Crafts Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., has served the round-table summit of the 2017 Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which was attended by the heads of 30 countries, including President Xi Jinping. The “Virtue Gathering Porcelain” adopts Stechcol’s latest enamel color porcelain technology and represents the top-ranking level of contemporary porcelain decoration art. In July of the same year, the “Virtue Gathering Porcelain” was collected by the National Museum. Masterpieces never come alone. The West Lake Peony Series, a porcelain pattern product designed by Auratic, became the porcelain designated for the banquet of the ladies attending the 2016 Hangzhou G20 Summit as the tableware entitled “West Lake Blue Tendon with Rich & Noble Peony and was applauded by the ladies attending the G20 Summit. Shenzhen has won the glorious task to provide porcelains for the most important national conferences with design. The tableware for the banquet of international top-ranking political leaders featuring “Shenzhen Design, Chinese Element, World Language and Excellent Workmanship” has displayed the top-ranking manufacturing techniques and cultural elements of Chinese porcelain and promoted china to go global as a synonym of China.  

      The Film & TV Works Award was an arena that attracted furious competition. In the end, the winners were the Generation Show and the Military Situation Room, two programs of Shenzhen Media Group; The Eagle Boy, an animation product of Shenzhen Global Digital Film, Television and Culture Co., Ltd.; Wan Wan, an animation cultural product promoting nuclear power; and the Zombies Cat, an animation product that renders the images of the Chinese national team for the 2016 Olympic Games.

     In particular, The “Boonie Bears: Entangled Worlds”, which has won the “Five One” Project Award of Guangdong Province, combines though, entertainment and art elements. Introducing the “scientific fiction, adventure and spatial crossing” innovative subject, the film has first attempted realistic production with physical persons and made a new breakthrough in the Chinese animation film technology. Rendering the internal changes and growth stories of the roles, the film reflects the pains on the way to pursue the dream. It has triggered rethinking and promoted strength, bravery, wisdom, struggle, unity, mutual assistance and other themes. Recording a ticket office of up to RMB523 million, the film has again smashed the ceiling of animation films for all family members generally accepted in the industry and become the Chinese film with the highest rating in the same season. It has been published in Bulgaria, Turkey and the entire Latin America, which has further enlarged the international brand influences of Chinese animations.

     Featuring fresh interpretation, profound, diverse and objective interpretation, the Military Situation Room has won extensive compliment from the audience at home and abroad and sharply increased its audience rating and communication. It has risen to become a well-known military program nationwide and an external communication platform designated by the People’s Liberation Army of China to tell good stories about building powerful military strength.

     With the background of the ninety-year history of the People’s Liberation Army of China, the Eagle Boy tells the story that Shunliu, Shang Yu, Gao Chao and other commando members receive an order to complete a special operation. In the play, they cross the time and space and realize a peaceful life doesn’t come easily by experiencing the history again. The teleplay has gone on the air at CCTV Children, Fire2333.com, Kaku.tv, other animation channels and more than 100 provincial and municipal TV stations. Moreover, it has realized an integrated broadcast at the municipal and county-level TV stations in Guangdong Province around August 1, the Army Day. The producer has developed more than 100 derivatives in more than 10 categories, and the animation is the only military educational animation so far.

    Values of copyright are reflected by licensing and application. The Application Award of the Sixth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award aims to award those individuals, enterprises and nonprofit organizations that have actively utilized copyright resources, taken every possible measure to promote the publishing and communication of works, realize market values of works and forge an industrial chain of copyright, and created great social and economic benefits. The winners of the award include the T-Guardians, a tri-dimensional animation film of Shenzhen Global Digital Film, Television and Culture Co., Ltd.; the roles and images in the children’s version of the Boonie Bears from FANTAWILD; serial Diners Preparation works from Shenzhen Media Group; Clouds Like Fog, an integrated material decorative panting from Shenzhen Fine Art Co., Ltd.; and Coke & Preserved Egg from Shenzhen Original Force Animation Culture Development Co., Ltd.

    In addition, the Excellent Copyright Manager Award has been granted to five copyright veterans, including Wang Xinzhe from Shenzhen Media Group, Tang Min from Shenzhen Jyeoo Smart Education Co., Ltd., Tian Shuai from Shenzhen Gionee Communication Equipment Co., Ltd., Wen Dongdun from Qianhai Larva Animation (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and He Juyu from Shenzhen Original Force Animation Culture Development Co., Ltd. The award is designed to highlight the importance of cultivating copyright application and protection professionals. In addition, the award is intended to acknowledge and encourage those enterprises and persons that have long paid attention to copyright protection and application. The award is expected to play a positive role in establishment of copyright protection, administration system and other aspects.

     The “Annual Copyright Registration Leader Award” and the “Annual Award for Genuine Software Pilot Enterprise” include a total of four awards that praise and encourage the representatives that have done an excellent job in these areas.

    The award ceremony attracted much attention from the Copyright Society of China, the Guangdong Copyright Office, the Social Organization Administration Bureau of Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration (Copyright Office). Deputy Director Chen Chunhuai from the Guangdong Copyright Office delivered an instructive speech, and the award ceremony recorded the arrival of nearly 200 participants, including Sun Yue, the Secretary-General of the Copyright Society of China; Qin Bo, Secretary-General of the Art Committee of the Copyright Society of China; Bai Junren, Vice President of Shenzhen Press Group; major leaders from Shenzhen Arbitration Committee, Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, the International Federation of Creativity and Technology; and the members from the judicial circle, creative and cultural industry and Shenzhen Copyright Society.
